Trade Union Federation of Workers from Culture (FSLC), in cooperation with the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) and the Labour Institute, organized two seminars to improve knowledge of trade union leaders from regions and mun. Chişinău.
Thus, the defence of trade union members through the current changes to the Labour Code, legislation on occupational safety and health of employees, the legislation on the conditions and manner of determining the gain of activity in unfavourable working conditions were the main themes of the seminars held on the 16th of March and 22nd of March.
Trade union leaders had the opportunity to discuss with the head of the legal department of CNSM, Ion Preguza about the amendments to the Labour Code that are to be adopted and their impact on labour relations.
Elena Carchilan, head of the Labour Inspectorate of Trade Unions of Moldova, informed trade unions organizations’ leaders about the role and importance of health and safety at work.
Also, Tatiana Cazacu, chief of the legal and socio-economic protection department of the FSLC talked about the necessary documents to assess working conditions and the method of determining the gain for work in unfavourable conditions.
Participants showed their interest in the addressed topics and stressed the need to continue retraining of trade union staff within FSLC.
