The leaders of the Trade Union Federations “Sindenergo”, “Sindicons” and “Sindsilva” visited the “Bucuria-Sind” sanatorium (Vadul-lui-Voda), where they had a meeting with the representatives of the resort, during which they discussed the conditions accommodation and food for refugees and the problems the resort faces during the period.
Victoria Niță, president of the “Sindenergo” Federation, mentioned during the meeting of March 4, 2022 with the title “TRADE UNION WOMEN AGAINST THE WAR” that a joint appeal was made to the BWI International Federation, whose members are the three national-branch trade union centers, through which financial support was requested for the management of the refugee crisis in Ukraine, a call to which the BWI reacted promptly.
Victor Talmaci, president of the Sindicons Federation, announced the joint decision of the “Sindenergo”, “Sindicons” and “Sindsilva” trade unions of 22 March 2022, to transfer the financial resources received from the BWI, namely to the “Bucuria-Sind” sanatorium.
The administration of the “Bucuria-Sind” sanatorium thanked the trade union federations for their help, noting that this contribution will cover the urgent needs of assistance of the 150 refugees currently housed in this health resort.
“Today, both the trade unions of the Republic of Moldova and the international trade unions show their solidarity with the people of Ukraine and the message of all trade union members is “STOP THE WAR!”, said Fiodor Botnari, president of the “Sindsilva” Federation.
