Today, September 26, the CNSM leadership met with the leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, an autonomous and independent non-governmental organization representing the interests of the Moldovan entrepreneurs as a whole.
“The opportunity of this event was delivered, in the view of Oleg Budza, president of the CNSM, by the intention of the trade unions of Moldova to build cooperation relations with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI). There are several reasons for this. First of all, we noticed that our counterparts from abroad are working quite actively with the respective organizations in different countries of the world. We want to work productively, especially regarding the development of the labour market in our country. Lately there has been a widening flow of investment in the national economy, but unfortunately, there is a lack of high-skilled workers. We see as a solution from this perspective the development of dual education and we count on the substantial collaboration and involvement of CCI.”
Oleg Budza also requested support from the CCI for increasing the social responsibility of domestic businesses, implementing meal vouchers, labour safety and hygiene. The representatives of the European Commission, stressed the President of CNSM, have repeatedly called for increased attention to be paid to employees’ health, safety and hygiene of workplaces.
It is known that the CCI organizes multiple forums, competitions with the participation of business people in the country. Precisely for this reason the CNSM leadership called to be invited to participate at this events in order to identify, promote the employers in our country, who are attentive to the employees, members of the trade unions.
In his turn, Sergiu Harea, the president of the CCI, said that the institution is open to work with the trade unions, as there is a tendency to shut down businesses lately, which is related to the liquidation of workplaces, a troubled problem for trade unions too. According to him, the first area of collaboration between the CNSM and the CCI could be dual education. But, as explained by him, the experience from abroad shows that most people who have been involved in dual education have proved to be trade union members.
As regarding to social cooperation, the CCI president agreed that the CNSM and the CCI would become reliable partners.
