CNSM leadership had a meeting with the president of the Confederation of Democratic Trade Unions of Romania

The leadership of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) had a meeting with Iacob Baciu, the president of the Confederation of Democratic Trade Unions of Romania (CSDR), being in the Republic of Moldova at the invitation of the Trade Union Federation of Education and Science.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the bilateral relations, the socio-economic situation in the Republic of Moldova and Romania, but also discussed details about the perspectives of collaboration on different dimensions.

During the meeting, Oleg Budza, president of the CNSM, pointed out the main activities of the Confederation, the objectives and priorities, the social dialogue process and the cooperation with the social partners, the situation regarding wages, decent work, safety and health at work, in the last period, the organization of activities promoting healthy lifestyle in trade unions, as well as other topics.

In his turn, Iacob Baciu, CSDR president, spoke about the activity of the organization he is leading, how it was formed, the specificity of the trade union activity of neighbouring country, the current challenges in the labour market and the role of the trade unions.

The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and intensify the relations in the field of training of trade union members, the rest of children and employees, and the exchange of experience.
