Today, February 23, the leadership of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) had a meeting with Sergejus Glovackas, Desk Officer for Central and Eastern Europe of the ILO Bureau for Workers’ Activities, and Gocha Alexandria, Senior Specialist, Workers Activities, ILO office in Moscow.
During the meeting Mihail Hîncu, vice president of CNSM, emphasized the importance of strengthening the cooperation between the CNSM and the International Labour Organization on labour and social policy issues in line with international labour standards, conventions and treaties.
Also, the discussions focused on strategic objectives and the main achievements of CNSM activity, labour law, social partnership, worker’s safety and health, continuous development of the CNSM’s educational capacity, including by improving the material basis of the Labour Institute, as well as organizational consolidation of the CNSM.
Sergeyus Glovackas, Desk Officer for Central and Eastern Europe of the ILO Bureau for Workers’ Activities, positively appreciated the intense dialogue between the CNSM and the ILO as being in constant ascension. In this context, he mentioned that the CNSM is an internationally sustainable partner by affiliation to the International Trade Union Confederation and will provide support and assistance in the relevant fields of the trade union movement based on the strategic priorities and objectives of the CNSM.
