Within the House of Trade Unions, on 7 May, the CNSM leaders had a meeting with representatives of the Diaspora Relations Office (BRD) within the State Chancellery and of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies of the Italian Republic and of the Veneto Lavoro Agency in Italy , in order to discuss the collaboration within the project “Developing the entrepreneurial capacities of the diaspora of the Republic of Moldova” (DOMDE).
The main objective of the project is to maximize the contribution of Moldovan migrants to the economic and social development of their country of origin, especially in the field of social entrepreneurship, and to transfer knowledge about the management of circular migration schemes and business opportunities for the diaspora and migrants that want to come back.
Oleg Budza, president of CNSM, said that “it is important to turn our attention to the returning migrants in the country as well as to the RM diaspora, which through their competencies can contribute to economic development with a high social impact. We hope that through the Mobility Partnership Facility program, we are opening new opportunities for social entrepreneurship and strengthening the institutional capacities of the DOMDE project beneficiaries, especially by strengthening the knowledge and business skills of the diaspora through social economy training courses.
During the project there will be carried out activities such as entrepreneurship and social business training courses in Italy and Moldova for Moldovan citizens residing in Italy and Moldovan migrants returning home; study visit and workshop in Italy on Social Entrepreneurship Models; Business Roadshow in Moldova in order to acquire direct knowledge of the Moldovan business environment, with particular reference to the social entrepreneurship sector; information campaign in Italy and Moldova on business opportunities, investment opportunities and the establishment of enterprises in the Moldovan economy.
We mention that the DOMDE project is being implemented under the Cooperation Agreement concluded on April 4, 2018 between the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova and the General Directorate for Immigration Policies and Integration of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies of the Italian Republic.
