At the same time, they questioned the relevance and role of the CSFPCHR for employers and in-service training institutions, the tasks of the Sectorial Committee, the medium-term objectives.
Elena Ciobanu, president of CSFPCHR, said that this Sectorial Committee aims to form a motivated team, a network of local partners in the three sectors: trade, hotels and restaurants, by developing cooperation relations with economic operators in the sectors and training institutions of the Republic of Moldova.
Valentina Chiriac, vice-president of CSFPCHR, and President of the Trade Union of Workers of Trade, Public Catering, Consumers’ Cooperative, Services, Restaurants and Hotels of Moldova “SindLUCAS”, stated that the aim of the Sectorial Committee is to provide support in the field of training to balance the demand and supply of human resources on the labour market, in line with current requirements, to participate in the development and revision of occupational standards and to submit proposals in the Occupation Classifier.
In this context, Petru Chiriac, vice-president of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM), stressed that substantial work was being done for the creation of this Sectorial Committee, and today’s event comes to make a contribution to the development of vocational-technical education. “Today, although they are in great demand, the workers’ professions are often ignored by young people. But the Moldovan economy needs these professions. In this respect, in collaboration with the social partners, we are working to develop dual education, and the Sectorial Committees have a key role to play in this direction,” said CNSM Vice President.
The overall objective of the CSFPCHR is to support economic agents with qualified labour force through modern education. The Sectorial Committee aims to strengthen the strategic partnership for professional training in the branch and constantly develop its own capacities to contribute to the modernization of the vocational training system.
