Between March 14th to 17th, experts from the Industriall Global Union (IGU) held in Chisinau, in the Labor Institute, a training for trade union leaders and activists of the national branch trade union centers, members of the international organization, where they got familiar with the European practices in solving labor disputes.
Oleg Budza, president of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM), stressed the importance of exchange of experience and takeover of successful practice that can be applied in trade union activity in our country.
“Quite complicated socio-economic situation in the region has led to challenges, which we all must cope with, and we, trade unionists, we must be well prepared to defend and promote effectively the rights and interests of trade union members” , said the trade union leader.
Jean-Yves Sabot, seminar trainer, representative of French trade union organization FO Métaux, said that through this activity trade unionists of Moldova can get informed about a series of practices used in Europe for the protection of employees.
Vadim Borisov, representative of IGU, informed about the need to organize information campaigns that would raise the awareness of the society and social partners, coming up with examples of activities organized by IGU in various countries in the region.
The participants, trade unionists from industry, chemistry, communications and constructions, said that the training will be useful in their work and is a good opportunity to exchange experiences.
