A first batch of humanitarian aid provided by international charities for Ukrainian refugees hosted at the sanatorium managed by the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM), arrived on Tuesday, 15 March at the “Bucuria-sind” sanatorium in the Vadul-lui-Voda city. The lot is donated by the international charities: International Blue Center in Turkey and Action Medeor in Germany.

The delegations of the two organizations were in the Republic of Moldova at the invitation of Mr. Boris Babici, President of the Trade Union of Workers from Building Automobile and Agricultural Machinery Industry. Last week, for two days, the delegation visited the “Bucuria-sind” health resort to see how the hosting process for Ukrainian refugees is organized. The delegation also had a meeting with the CNSM leadership, informing them about the plans to grant humanitarian aid to refugees who had been accommodated at the CNSM health resorts.

Igor Zubcu, President of CNSM, informed the representatives of the organizations about the actions taken by the trade unions in order to support refugees and thanked them for their support, while emphasizing the importance of developing cooperation in this regard to sustain Ukrainian refugees in sanatoriums managed by CNSM. Subsequently, the delegation from Turkey and Germany, accompanied by the president of CNSM, Igor Zubcu, had a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Health where they informed about the intention to grant aid to refugees from Ukraine on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

We specify that the aid batch consists of foodstuffs for 2 to 4 weeks (meat, frozen fish, pasta, wheat and maize flour, oil, butter, sugar, rice, peas, cheese and others). Detergents, electric kettles, essential products were also purchased for refugees.
