Today, October 22 in Brussels, within the European Economic and Social Committee have met members of the Executive Committee of the Pan-European Regional Council (PERC), experts, observers from the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) , The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova was represented by Tatiana Marian, head of the mass media and international relations Department.
The agenda of the 13th meeting provided a series of topics on the work, realities and prospects of the development of the trade union movement in the region and, in particular, sub-regions. In this context, the discussions focused on the activities of the Pan-European Regional Council in general in 2018 according to priorities; the actions of the Women’s Committee and the Youth Committee during the current year, the Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation, and the approval of the PERC nominees for the General Council and the Executive Bureau; the Fourth General Assembly of PERC; ILO work in Europe on labour rights; the process of realization and consultation on the Sustainable Development Goals in Europe and the United Nations; wages in Europe and Central Asia; as well as the situation in Belarus, Ukraine, Greece, Kazakhstan, Turkey.
