According to the Plan of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) in the field of trade union training and research for the year 2018, the Labour Institute will implement the training project “Trade Union School of Moldova” in March-May.
Today, March 15, within the Labour Institute, the first session of the mentioned project, which will take place between 15-17 March, started. The launching ceremony was attended by the CNSM leaders, presidents of the national-branch trade union centres (CSNR), the beneficiaries of the project – 27 young trade unionists from various regions of the country, representatives of 12 CSNR.
“The CNSM considers continuing education to be a priority in its work, as it contributes to the multilateral development of the trade union staff and to the formation of skills. The launch of a new edition of this innovative educational project is part of the CNSM policies aimed at strengthening a new generation of trade unionists based on modern training principles adapted to the demands of the time,” said Petru Chiriac, vice president of CNSM.
The project “Trade Union School of Moldova” has been implemented by the CNSM since 2012 and aims to develop the knowledge of trade union members. The model of this school is taken from the Austrians, being adapted to the realities and needs of trade union members from the Republic of Moldova. Previously, the five editions were attended by more than 80 trade unionists.
The main objective of the “Trade Union School of Moldova” project is to strengthen trade union organizations in order to protect and promote the rights of employees. The training of the participants will take place within 3 day sessions, meeting within the Labour Institute for 3 consecutive days in order to study and deepen the knowledge in different trade union and general development fields, trained by trainers within the CNSM and external experts.
