In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, these days, employees of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova (MIA): the General Inspectorate of Police, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri and the State Enterprise Security Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, jointly with the employees of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova (MoD), are working with dedication in the front line, ensuring public order and security, as well as quarantine regimes in all localities in the country, continuing the actions of informing and raising public awareness about the importance of complying with established protection measures.
The necessity to be equipped with protective equipment is paramount, this would provide a maximum level of protection both to employees and their families.
When protective equipment is changed at short intervals, large quantities are required. Respectively, it is difficult to equip the institutions under these conditions. The Trade Unions Federation of Moldova “SINDLEX” and member organizations: the Trade Unions “DEMNITATE”, “FRONTIERA”, “SALVATORUL”, “SindMAI”, “VIITORUL”, in support of the employees protection on missions within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Defense, and for confirming the constructive social partnership, purchased and sent in several installments to the social partners protective equipment in the amount of about 190,000 lei, procuring and donating 22,000 protective masks, 14,000 gloves and 150 protective screens.
At the same time, for the period April-May, the hot meal is paid to the medical staff from the MIA hospital and the MoD hospital, as well as providing packages with products needed for patients infected with COVID – 19 among MIA employees, that are undergoing treatment in the MIA hospital.
With respect for the employees,
The Federal Committee of the Trade Union Federation of Moldova “SINDLEX”
