Today, March 23, the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) organized in Comrat city a new action to consult employees, trade union members, within the “Trade Union Lawyer” campaign, launched on January 15 in Hincesti city.
Trade unionists from ATU Gagauzia mentioned that their concern is to negotiate and conclude collective labour contracts that are not formal but to provide concrete actions to defend the rights and interests of trade union members and to be implemented and respected by all parties. In this context, Vasile Patrascu, counsellor of CNSM President Oleg Budza, said that this week the trade union movement started a wide-ranging public information campaign at the national level, entitled “The Collective Labour Agreement – the guarantee of your rights”, which aims to increase the importance of the collective labour contract.
In Comrat, Anatolie Lupascu, the trade union lawyer, provided legal advice to trade union members, mostly trade union leaders in education, on various questions, including labour law. Those present have approached subjects related to the provisions of individual work contracts, work schedule compliance, overtime pay, protection of work-related employees under stress and psychological pressure, work done under noxious conditions, the way of calculation of pensions, the mechanism of distribution of treatment sheets.
Through the “Trade Unions Lawyer” campaign, the CNSM aims to contribute to better informing the population, to know their rights, to know how to protect them and how trade unions can provide them with legal support. All trade union members can get free information provided by legal professionals to help them find solutions to the problems they face.
Please note that such actions will be organized in the near future in other localities in the country.
