Trade Union Federation of Constructions and Building Materials Industry “SINDICONS” has resumed the project “Trade Union Hour”, within the specialized education institutions, in order to raise awareness among young people about the benefits and guarantees of becoming a trade union member and getting a decent job.
In the context, last week, students from the School of Vocational Training of the Orhei city participated in talks with SINDICONS Federation president Victor Talmaci and Sergiu Suruceanu, senior specialist in legal matters within the Federation. Students were acquainted with the trade union’s objectives in promoting decent work, the advantages of being a trade union member, and the role of trade unions in working relationships and social partnership, and learned useful information about the individual and collective labour agreement.
Victor Talmaci, President of the SINDICONS Federation, said in his report that through this activity, young people are trained and informed to know and defend their rights and interests, to find out that trade unions contribute to the protection of rights in labour relations, which is a priority objective of the trade unions.
During this year, in order to promote the values of trade unionism in the construction sector and in order to motivate and attract young people into trade unions, the activities organized within the “Trade Union Hour” project will take place in other educational institutions in the country.
