Trade Unions Federation of Workers of Chemical Industry and Energy Resources (FSCRE) held, on the 17th of February, a seminar for trade unions leaders on “Protection of trade union members through the current amendments to the Labour Code”.
The activity aimed to familiarize the trade union leaders with the latest changes to labour legislation so they will be well informed to ensure the respect of rights and interests of trade union members.
According to Margareta Strestian, FSCRE President, following this workshop the employees in the branch will receive from trade union leaders from enterprises the information and support they need not to reach labour disputes.
Attending the event, Sergiu Sainciuc, vice-president of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM), stated about the fact that the negotiations to introduce amendments and additions to legislation went slowly, but CNSM did not allow the rights and interests of employees – trade union members to be harmed.
Ion Preguza, Head of Legal Department of CNSM, trainer at the seminar, informed trade union leaders about the latest changes to labour legislation, CNSM actions in protecting the rights of its members, also about some peculiarities related to labour relations and legal proceedings.
