Today, May 9, when the end of the Second World War is marked, the leadership of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova and the leaders of the national-branch trade union centres deposited wreaths and flower bouquets at the “Eternitate” Memorial Complex in Chisinau to commemorate the fallen heroes for the independence of the Motherland.
Oleg Budza, president of the CNSM, said that humanity paid an enormous price in the world’s bloody world war, the human tragedy that occurred in the middle of the last century. In the Second World War, millions of people lost their lives, including hundreds of thousands of our compatriots. That is why it is important to honour their memory for the sacrifice they have brought in the name of peace and the future of their descendants, concluded the president of CNSM.
Also on this 9th of May, Oleg Budza said, we also celebrate the Day of Europe, which is a feast of peace, unity and tolerance, values that are shared and appreciated by trade union members in our country, for whom integration into the European Union has become a dominant vector.
