Today, April 20, the Youth Commission of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (CNSM) organized an annual organizational meeting and a training seminar “Developing leadership skills and team cohesion” at the Labour Institute, attended by the CNSM leadership, as well as 25 young trade unionists, representatives of national-branch trade union centres.
Oleg Budza, CNSM president, Petru Chiriac, CNSM vice-president, Elena Stoica, CNSM Youth Committee president, Tatiana Marian, former president of the CNSM Youth Commission, attended the work.
During the seminar, trainer Alexandra Bordea, founder of Evenda, familiarized young people with leadership and its peculiarities, aspects of personal development, interpersonal communication techniques and negotiation.
At the same time, the young trade unionists had an interactive dialogue with Oleg Budza, CNSM president, who mentioned that youth are a priority for the trade union movement in the Republic of Moldova and communicated them about the main achievements and activities of the past, the strategic goals of the Confederation for the future. “A plausible aspect for the young trade unionist is that youth will have the right to vote in the elected bodies of the Confederation following the decision of the CNSM General Council,” Oleg Budza stressed.
Tatiana Marian, former president of the CNSM Youth Commission and head of the CNSM’s Mass Media and International Relations Department, spoke about the role of young people in the trade union movement in the country and the consolidation of youth structures at branch level, successful youth stories in national and international trade unions, the need to focus on further work in accordance with youth policy and CNSM priorities.
During the organizing session, the young people elected two vice-presidents and the responsible for different activities of the CNSM Youth Commission, discussed the Action Plan for 2018 and set the working schedule for the next period. In this context, Elena Stoica, the new president of the CNSM Youth Commission, stressed that for the next two years, the Commission drew four areas of activity: organizing; information and training; ensuring social and legal protection for young people; culture and sport.
