The Labour Institute of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova in cooperation with the Congress of Democratic Trade Unions of Belarus, Trade Union of Construction and Building Materials Industry of Ukraine, the Centre for Social and Economic Research, CASE Belarus implemented the project „The impact of social dialogue on the optimization of labour migration in Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine»
The project benefits from the support through the EaP CSF Re-granting Scheme. Within its Re-granting Scheme, the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) supports projects of the EaP CSF members with a regional dimension that contribute to achieving the mission and objectives of the Forum. The donors of the Re-granting Scheme are the European Union and National Endowment for Democracy. The overall amount for the 2017 call for proposals is 290.000 EUR. Grants are available for CSOs from the Eastern Partnership and EU countries. Key areas of support are democracy and human rights, economic integration, environment and energy, contacts between people, social and labour policies.
Priorities of the project
- Contribute to the promotion of reforms in the countries of the Eastern Partnership in the development of social dialogue at the national and local level in terms of optimization of labour migration: The project includes an analysis of the practices of the social dialogue on migration (at national, sectoral and territorial levels) in Moldova Belarus and Ukraine;
- Promote reforms in the countries of the Eastern Partnership in the field of social policies and dialogue. The project aims to increase the impact of social dialogue on optimizing labour migration in Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine;
- Strengthen the regional position/point of view (namely project activities with a regional value added) and to overcome the emerging challenges among the Eastern Partnership countries, recognizing the various ways and contractual relations with the EU, which will be done through the creation of a communication platform between the trade unions of Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine, and the development of a common road map for improving the efficiency of the impact of social dialogue on the optimization of labour migration in Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine.
- Promote effective policies and propaganda of goals of the EaP CSF at EU level by informing EU players on the issues, needs and perspectives of the impact of social dialogue on the optimization of labour migration in Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine.
