The board of „Demnitate” Trade Union and of the General Police Inspectorate signed, Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in the result of bilateral negotiations, the Collective Convention (at branch level) for the years 2013-2018.
The new-signed Collective Convention contains dispositions and clauses, regarding the labour remuneration, labour conditions and protection of work, the work and recreation regime, raising of professional qualification and development of social partnership, regulation the social relations concerning the above mentioned rights.
The provisions of the Collective Convention will serve as a basis for the further negotiations with the purpose of concluding the collective labour contract at the unit level within the institutions of IGP suborder and will be considered minimal for the respective units and their employees.
Both entities’ leaders mentioned the importance of the moment and the necessity of signing this normative act, which focuses on protection of social-economic interests of employees and protection of health and rights guaranteed by the acting legislation.
„We wish each police employee to be protected, regardless of the position. The branch commission for collective negotiations and consultations was exigent and strict, because the specifics of the activity, the professional risk, the special statute of the majority of employees of this strategic state’s sub-division oblige us to take into account the fact that the citizen must be continuously protected”, Mihail Laşcu, chairman of „Demnitate” Trade Union declared.
In its turn, Ion Bodrug, chief of the Inspectorate, stated that they are open for cooperation and constructive critics with the trade unions, which discipline them. „We hope that the Convention signed today will be a successful and the further cooperation with the trade unions will be a fruitful one”, Bodrug concluded.
