Monday, December 23, 2013, the National Confederation of Trade Unions (NCTUM) launched a national campaign to inform the population “START SINDICAT”.
Campaign objectives include such directions as: informing young people about labor rights; raising awareness to combat “illegal work”; social dialogue development on territory; promoting trade unions as an instrument to protect the rights of employees.
According to Oleg Budza, NCTUM President, by means of the campaign “START SINDICAT” trade unions seek for a better information of society about the rights of workers and promote their rights.
During the campaign, the trade unions will hold a series of information activities on the territory; citizens will be able to call the Hotline of trade unions, free, at phone number 0-800-800-20;
they will be able to find out how to become union members through www.startsindicat.md information portal. Also will be organized a series of awareness of the population through the media.
Launch of the campaign “START SINDICAT” is a part of the project “Information and marketing strategy development “. The realization of information campaign “Join trade unions” is implemented by the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova for the period 2013-2015 and is funded by CNV Internationaal, the Netherlands and NTUCM.
The project aims to inform people about labor rights and the role of trade unions in the defense of rights and interests of employees.
