Start for information campaign „Decent work through respected rights!”
The Youth Council within the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM) launched Wednesday, the 8th of October, 2014, in Orhei city, the information campaign titled „Decent work through respected rights!”, which will be conducted till the 11th of October in 7 districts of the North of republic.
The campaign’s goal is to inform the population about the rights in the field of labour relations, their protection methods and the trade unions’ role in the said process. In this sense, representatives of the Youth Council will distribute informative materials, concerning the respective subjects and will present the actions undertaken by NCTUM with the purpose of respecting the employees’ rights to a decent work.
President of NCTUM Oleg Budza mentioned that due to the information campaigns organised by the Youth Council of NCTUM, over 4 thousand young persons joined the trade unions.
”We wish young people, employees of Orhei and other country’s localities, to be well informed, to know the advantages of joining the trade unions. We must be like a united family and work in the country, and the trade unions fight for the creation of better conditions and bigger salaries”, Budza said.
President of the Youth Council within the NCTUM Stela Stratila-Sîrbu specified that it is the 4th consequent year when the information campaigns start from Orhei city.
”Our object is to do all the best to stop our young people leaving for abroad, to inform them that it is good for them to become trade union members, because they will be protected at their job places. There is no country with a future, if there are no young people”, Stela Stratila-Sîrbu declared.
In his turn, President of the inter-branch Council of Orhei trade unions Alexandru Malai specified that the inhabitants of Orhei are eager to get informed and the role of trade unions is a major one in this process.
Today, the Youth Council of NCTUM will get Soroca city with its information campaign. On the 9th of October it will be in Drochia and Râșcani cities, on the 10th of October – in Edineț and Briceni cities and on the 11th of October – in Bălți. The action is part of the actions series organised this week by the NCTUM in the context of celebration the World Day for Decent Work on October 7.
