Another 19 young people from national trade union centers-branches received graduation certificates of the „Trade Union School in Moldova”. The action took place yesterday, June 18, at the meeting of the totalization of the 3rd edition of the project, entitled „A step towards the achievement of labor rights organization”, which was held from September 2014 – June 2015.
The event was attended by the leaders of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (NTUCM)and of the Labor Institute, presidents of the national-branch trade union centers, the leadership of theAustrian Federation of Trade Unions (OGB), Head of the Coordination Office for Technical Cooperation of Austria, THE Coordinator of the German Foundation „Friedrich Ebert Stiftung” Chisinau Office.
Mihail Hincu, vice-president of the NTUCM, mentioned that this project is an ambitious one, it is connected to the educational practices and European trade union values, being unique in the former Soviet space.
„We intend to contribute to the strengthening of the trade union movement by forming a new generation of trade unionists, increase of trade unions capacity from our country and the development of new competences and skills among young trade unionists”, stressed the union leader, thanking to the project partners for their support provided.
Erich Foglar, president of the OGB, partner of the “Trade Union School in Moldova”, expressed his confidence that the project will have continuity. „This is an assurance that the trade union movement from Moldova has a future, those who have finished it are goodstrategists on whose shoulders the company and the employees can count in any situation”, specified Foglar.
The project „Trade Union School in Moldova” has been implemented by the NTUCM with the support of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions (OGB). The curriculum included modules with diverse thematic content, focused on major concerns and areas of interest of union activities, as the trade union rights, the market economy and trade unions, negotiation elements, safety and health at work.
