The young trade unionists, employees and students within the educational institutions from Ialoveni district were informed about how to protect their labor rights, how to promote their interests and what are the advantages of belonging to trade unions. The information action was organized on Friday, November 20, by the Informational Department of the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova (NTUCM), within the framework of the project „Development of information and marketing strategy. Conducting the Informational Campaign „Join trade unions””.
Within a seminar, attended by about 30 young people, the moderators Polina Fisticanu, specialist of the of Social-economic department of NTUCM and Rodica Vilcu, specialist of the Informational Department of NTUCM, they have presented to the young people ample information about the work, role and objectives of trade unions from the Republic of Moldova, urging them to join trade unions and to form trade union organization.
However, the NTUCM representatives have distributed informative materials about the possible dangers that may occur in the workplace because of informal employment and they answered to the numerous questions from the young people.
The action concludes a series of activities under the project „Development of information and marketing strategy. Conducting the Informational Campaign „Join trade unions””, conducted during the years 2013-2015 in nine districts of the country, in order to inform the population about labor rights and the role of trade unions in the defense of rights and interests of employees. The project was funded by the National Federation of Christian Trade Unions in the Netherlands (CNV Internationaal) and NTUCM.
