Trade Union leader Oleg Budza met the new special attache for social issues of Austria Embassy in Republic of Moldova

President of National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM) Oleg Budza met Wednesday, January 15, 2014, the current special attache for social issues of the Emabassy of Austria in Republic of Moldova, Georg Reibmayr, who presented his successor, Gero Stuller.

Budza mentioned Georg Reibmayr’s efficient collaboration in Republic of Moldova with the Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Austrian international organizations during the last three years of activity.

„Austria’s experience in its fight against corruption and the informal economy is welcome, this partnership being very important for us. The Austrian trade unions had a major influence in promoting Republic of Moldova for initialling the Association Agreement in Vilnius. But, the most important project with Austria, which is a business card for NCTUM, is the launch of the Trade Union School at the Labour Institute”, the trade union leader specified.

At the conclusion of his mission, Georg Reibmayr, thanked the NCTUM’s board for the fruitful collaboration, the „Trade Union School” project being an approach to the European values and a consolidation of the civil society.

„I express my confidence that this project will contribute to the implementation in Moldova of some modern models and approaches in the settlement of social-economic issues, faced by the employees, trade union members and also to the modernization of the trade unions”, the current special attache for social issues of the Embassy of Austria in Republic of Moldova stated.

His successor Gero Stuller, who will start his activity in Republic of Moldova on February 1, 2014, gave assurances that this project, as well as other following from the collaboration of NCTUM and Austria’s Government, will be held successfully.
