Trade unions instructed local journalists within mass-media Academy „Social Dialogue – 2014”
Approximately 30 journalists, representatives of the media institutions of the country, participated in the 2nd edition of the mass-media Academy “Social Dialogue – 2014”, organised by the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM) during September 26-27, 2014.
Within the Academy, there were discussed subjects as the role of the social partnership in the field of labour, the labour relations within the provisions of the national legislation and international norms, remuneration, the stability at the place of job, the situation of youth and women on labour market etc.
Present at the event, President of NCTUM Oleg Budza mentioned that it is important for representatives of media institutions to know the fundamental directions of Moldovan trade unions, to understand that we modernize ourselves and do our best to help the employees.
”We need you – representatives of mass-media, to be a faithful partner of trade unions and if we are mistaken or don’t fulfil our objects, we also accept the journalists’ critics”, the trade union leader specified.
The Confederative Secretary of NCTUM Nicolae Suruceanu and also the moderator of the Academy for mass-media informed the journalists about the trade unions’ role in the society and communicated the results of the trade union movement activity, focused on the protection and promotion of employees’ rights and interests – trade union members.
”The journalists were active, they addressed questions to the board of NCTUM and hope they will present correctly and objectively the information about the activity implemented by the Moldovan trade unions”, Suruceanun stated.
The mass-media Academy is organised annually by the Informational Department within the NCTUM, with the participation of social partners, international experts, representatives of local public administration, which serves as a communication platform between trade unions and mass-media.
The event took place in ”Bucuria-Sind” sanatorium of Vadul lui Vodă city.
