President of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM) Oleg Budza participates today, November 28, 2013 in the second Eastern Partnership Bussiness Forum, event registered in the agenda of the European Summit conducted in Vilnius.
After a telephone conversation, the trade union leader mentioned within the Forum that the business communities of the European Union and the countries of the Eastern Partnership discussed about the common actions for the economic redress of the European market.
„This partneship should be directed to the improvement of life level in Republic of Moldova. Our participation in the said Summit is in favor of the employees. We will supervise the non-violations of the employees’ rights during the discussions between representatives of Republic of Moldova and those of European Union”, Budza said.
The NCTUM’s President considers there are big chanses for Moldova to initial the Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, which is a very advantageous fact for all trade union members.
„After signing the Agreement, the quality of goods will improve and prices will not be so exagerated, as they are at present. At the same time, it will be created the infrastructure for business, attraction and implementation of modern technologies, developemnt of the human resources’ capacities, creation of a loyal market rivalry”, Budza stressed.
According to the agenda, the Forum’s participants discuss subjects related to the new business opportunities in the context of initialing by Republic of Moldova and Georgia of the Association and Free Trade Agreement, the development of business infrastructure, valorification of Small amd Medium Sized Enterprises’ potential, the connection of business environment to the East-West axis etc.
At the event particpates the European Commissioner for Enlargment and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle, the European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Deputy President of the European Investment Bank, as well as, officials of Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Lithuania, Sweden etc.
At the end of the discussions it will be adopted a common Declaration and will be set forth the further cooperation references on economic dimension of Eastern Partnership.
This discussions format on economic subjects was launched in 2011 for the similar Summit organized in Warsaw, in the Polish city Sopot.
