Trade unions show a high interest for national exhibition „Made in Moldova”, through which participants promote their local goods and services, a very important fact for the country’s economy. The declaration was made Wednesday, January 29, 2014, by the Confederal Secretary of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM) Nicolae Suruceanu, within the 13th edition of the exhibition “Made in Moldova”.
According to him, the consumers should know that Moldovan entrepreneurs produce high quality goods at affordable prices.
“We are proud of the fact that the products showed at the exhibition are manufactured by trade unions members, who activate at the majority of enterprises present at this event. So far as competitiveness and high quality goods exist, and the employees enjoy decent work conditions and a good remuneration, the welfare will increase”, Nicolae Suruceanu mentioned.
Prime-Minister Iurie Leancă, present at the official opening, specified that competitiveness is not something guaranteed or free of charge, but an element which is mastered and consolidated gradually, so that both firms and the state have a great role in insuring it.
Valentina Luchian, Director of the clothes factory “Ionel”, stated that together with the trade unions they made big efforts so as the labour conditions should meet the European level and avoid back pays.
Participating in the exhibition, Deputy-President of the National House of Social Insurance (NHSI) Tatiana Popa declared that NHSI is in close collaboration with the NCTUM, especially due to the fact that the trade union members directly contribute to the formation of the state social insurance budget.
The exhibition “Made in Moldova” will daily organize “The jobs fair”. Director of the National Agency for Employment Ion Holban stated that the NCTUM is a devoted partner of the Agency, which supports permanently the employees. The current Fair’s edition is attended by 25 economic agents with more than 800 vacancies.
The national exhibition “Made in Moldova” is organized by the Trade and Industry Chamber, under the patronage of the Government, in which participate over 250 firms of the whole country, representing all sectors of Moldovan economy.
