More than 150 young syndicalists, as well as, foreign guests, met within the 3rd edition of the Youth Council Forum of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (NCTUM), which took place during May 9-11 in Vadul-lui-Vodă city.
There were discussed the problems faced by the country’s young people, being analysed the activity and experience of young syndicalists of Belarus, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Latvia. At the same time, one of the major objectives of the meeting was the consolidation of the activities of youth trade union organizations, the motivation to collaborate with social partners and the discovery and use of professional and artistic abilities of the trade union members.
During the three days of the Forum, the young people participated in a series of workshops, thematic seminars, as well as, in a number of artistic and interactive activities, like: the presentation of the team; the “Wallpaper” competition; the captains competition; the “Syndicalist insonification” competition; the “Dance team!” competition.
President of the NCTUM‘s Youth Council Stela Stratila-Sîrbu mentioned that the teams were better prepared within the current edition, which shows a higher interest of the youth towards the syndicalist activity and the Forum.
”We are glad that the young people involve in the syndicalist activity, being active, having good professional and artistic qualities. The Youth Forum of the NCTUM has already become a tradition and for the next year we plan higher objects and priorities. The syndicalist movement has a future only due to the well-instructed young people, who want to promote and modernize the image of the trade unions”, Stela Stratila-Sîrbu said.
President of NCTUM Oleg Budza specified the necessity of organizing such a Forum, which offers the young syndicalists the opportunity to communicate, to get informed about the syndicalism and to discover the artistic spirit of each trade union member.
”The problems and proposals expressed by young people in the Forum will be discussed within the National Commission for Consultations and Collective Negotiations. We will continue to promote the young people into the trade union bodies of any level, into the elaboration of labour force development programs and those connected to the creation of economic and social conditions. We will do our best to come with positive changes for the country’s youth till the 4th edition of the NCTUM’s Youth Forum”, the trade union leader concluded.
In the result of the votes, the favourite team of the 3rd edition of the NCTUM’s Youth Forum was designated the Trade Union “Sănătatea”. The 1st place for the “Wallpaper” competition was conferred to the team of the Construction and Construction Materials Industry Trade Union Federation ”SINDICONS”. The best captains were those of the Federation of Communication Workers Trade Union and of the Federation of Chemical Industry Workers and Energy Resources Trade Union. The 1st place for the “Syndicalist insonification” competition was conferred to the team of the Education and Science Trade Union and for the “Dance team!” competition – the best participants of the Trade Union Federation of Bank and Insurance Workers. The winners were awarded diplomas and cups.
